Did you know that one unspayed cat and it's subsequent offspring can produce up to 420,000 cats over a seven year period?

The cat population is growing as it never has before. The number of dumped, stray and abandoned cats has reached an all time high. As a result of this the feral cat population has exploded, endangering much of our native wildlife.

Desexing your cat is the most important thing you can do to help prevent unwanted kittens. We recommend this being done when they are five to six months old, but it can be done earlier. It is just a myth that a cat should have a litter of kittens to make her a better cat! It is also never too late to desex your cat!

Desexing also reduces a male cats tendency to wander, in turn reducing it's chances of being injured in a cat fight or on the road, in turn saving you a lot of money in unnecessary vet bills. Ideally, your cat should be contained of a night time as that is when a lot of cats are hurt or go missing.

        As cute as these guys are it is important to remember that they will grow up! A kitten is for life, not until the novelty wears off!
